Marcus D. Hall - Founding Director

Marcus Hall is the Founding Director of Olorun Services. Marcus served in the Air Force over 23 years in the following career fields: Law Enforcement Specialist, Computer Systems Operator and a Cyber Transport Systems. His IT career began as a Technician and he retired as a Division Superintendent in a Joint Tactical Unit. Marcus has worked in AF Tactical Communications (3rd Herd), PMO (DMS PMO/Enterprise Service Management…AFELMC Gunter), Joint Special Operations Support (HQ USSOCOM), Network Control Center Superintendent(Gunter), Enterprise Services Superintendent (Gunter..AF O/S imaging, AFECMO) and Joint Communication Support Element (J5/J6 Superintendent). After retiring from Active Duty, Marcus worked as a IT Manager of Amazon Distribution Centers and as Sr IT Manager of Infrastructure Systems at the City of Dallas.

While at Amazon, Marcus was an IT Manager for Distribution Centers in the DFW metropolitan area. He was also dual hatted as a Project Manager for new building construction and launching new services. He led teams that installed the IT infrastructure in multiple buildings in DFW and San Marcos, TX. Marcus also trained incoming IT Techs and Engineers in the DFW area.

While at the City of Dallas, Marcus led a distinct portfolio of IT Service Delivery which included the following: Desktop Service Team, Service Desk Team, Enterprise Server Team and the Mobile Technology Center. He oversaw the Azure Cloud Migration Project, Enterprise Backup Migration Project, Identity & Access Management, O365 Gov admin, Vendor Management, RFPs, Enterprise Storage and Contract Management (Microsoft, VMWare, CommVault, etc). He quickly filled vacancies, put in a training program and coached the team to perform at a high level.

Marcus has won various awards throughout his IT career, Wing SNCO of the Year, Wing Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award, AFMC 3D Functional Award, Amazon 2016 Referral contest, City of Dallas CIS Star of the Month Award. He excels in Leadership, IT Operational Management, Project Management, adopting emerging technologies, staffing, training and having fun while doing it all. He has injected all his experience, technical know-how, relationships and grit into Olorun Services.
